'The American Association of Individual Investors' sentiment survey released on Thursday morning showed a big increase in bullish sentiment and a big drop in bearish sentiment. For the week ended May 2, bullish sentiment came in at 63.5%. The week before, bullish sentiment stood at 46.6%. Bearish sentiment, meanwhile, fell to 21.6% during the week ended May 2, from 31% the week before. Investors who consider themselves neutral came in at 14.9% during the week ended May 2, down from the week before.
During the week ended May 2, the Nasdaq was up 7.8%, the Dow rose 2.4% and the S&P 500 lifted 3.2%.
